Big Brother is Good for Something
Given that this is the internet you’ve probably already checked your facebook in the last 20 seconds and have made a status update rather recently. The interesting thing is you probably didn’t realize this could get you out of prison under the right conditions (or the wrong ones).
A facebook post rather recently got a kid out of some trouble and all I can think is that if he hadn’t been posting at the time then things could have turned out really different. Good thing big brother was watching. Even if you’re just posting about how you don’t know where your pancakes are, when the cops think you’ve robbed somebody.
I just thought of something else that would be good to do. If you recorded your life with your computer and posted it as a video on facebook in a constant video log then you would never get in trouble for anything you didn’t do. Oh wait, I think Orwell already came up with that idea. I always knew he was a smart guy. Imagine how that would make such a perfect society, with everyone never having to worry about being wrongfully accused of anything.
